1 Beginning with the rapture, there will be extreme joy for those that will be found on the Lord’s side, while there will be extreme pain and sorrow  for those that will be found on the devil’s side.
2 As curtain begins to be drawn over the activities of this world, the trumpet will sound. Then, Jesus Christ will appear physically in the sky with overwhelming glory to raise the dead, judge the world, destroy every opposition to God, and consummate His everlasting kingdom.
3 The same two questions that the whole world still ask till date are; when shall these things be? What shall be the signs?
4 Never believe anyone that gives you a date or timetable for the second coming of Jesus, no matter how advanced the mathematical theory may see.
5 The key things to look for are these; false prophets, lovers of self, wars and rumors of war, famines, pestilences, earthquakes, persecution, betrayal, iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold, some shall depart from the from the faith, seducing spirits, doctrines of devils hypocrisy.
6 Any teaching that cannot be substantiated with the Bible belongs to the devil; avoid them and their messages like a plague. Be warned.

Yes, there is no exact time or date but we have pointers to show us signs of the last day. These signs are listed in our devotional today and it is expedient believers look out for these signs daily so as to deliberately and consciously avoid those in our capacity to avoid.

We read and hear of different absurd teaching and miracle strategies some prophets/pastors introduce to their congregation. Some are extremely dangerous and bad morally, medically and even spiritually. All on the list of key things to look out for is presently happening and then we can say our Lord Jesus is around the corner. God will help us to remain steadfast in faith and have our gaze set on Him alone that we may on the last day reign with Him in Jesus name.

It’s our prayer that the Lord will strengthen our Father Pastor E.A Adeboye in the work of the father to lead even more people to Christ before rapture in Jesus name.

1. God’s acceptability of any human being is an act of His love, mercy, grace and favour.

God accepts people who respond to him by faith. This is why we have categories of children in the Kingdom of God

2. Amongst the adopted children, there are golden, sliver, wooden and earthen sons and daughters. Also, there are repentant and reliable as well as deceitful and unreliable children. What kind of child are you?

3. Although, God loves all His children, yet, not all of them please Him equally. While the unrepentant ones displease the Lord, the repentant and reliable ones please Him.

4. To be acceptable to God as a beloved son or daughter is not an easy task. It requires total submission to God’s will and total obedience to His commandments

SHORT REFLECTION BY THE LIGHT POINTERS

Pleasing our maker, the author and the finisher of our faith should be our priority. When we constantly please God by doing what is our reasonable service and His will concerning our lives. When we satisfy the conditions of God over our lives, He grants us our heart desire. “Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” Psalms 37:4 KJV. Just like our father in the Lord stated in today’s devotional  that “to be acceptable to God as a beloved son or daughter is not an easy task. 1. Rejection is a terrible form of punishment that God sometimes uses to call the attention of His backslidden children to quit their sins and immoralities.
2. Experiences and feelings of rejection are to be dealt with through the prayer of forgiveness and perseverance.
3. Do not wait till the day of the storm to discover your status with God, check yourself today and do everything possible to reconcile with God if need be.
4. If God does not correct you for wrong speech, reaction and conduct, it simply means He is not your Father! When last did God cane you for wrong doing? May you never be above correction.
5. Do you feel as if the gates of Heavens are shut against you? Do you feel as if you are shut out of God’s blessings? It could mean that you are a ‘dog’. Why not accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour today? Why not reconcile with your Maker?

To be rejected by men is tolerable but when your case get to that level where God decides to abandon you, it’s the most dangerous thing that could happen to a fellow. 1. Bethel is the house of God, a place where God dwelled with His people. Over time, the Bible redefined the true place of worship to be the heart of man
2. Bethel could be said to represent the house of God, the true place of worship, or the dwelling place of God. The Samaritan woman by the well asked a million-dollar question from Jesus about the location of the heavenly approved place of worship.
3. The freedom and liberty granted to Christians at conversion does not translate to ownership and absolute authority over ourselves as some erroneously think.
4. Realizing that your body is the temple of God will also affect the type of company that you keep and where you go.

REFLECTION BY THE LIGHT POINTERS
The question we should always ask ourselves is whether we are in the presence of God. If we consider today’s bible passage, Jacob realized the need to have a separate place, sanctified and holy to worship God as he was instructed by God. However, in the dispensation of the Holyspirit, true worship comes come from within. Truly, God is seeking for genuine worshippers. As a matter of fact, we have been created to praise Him. According to Isaiah 43:21 “This people I have formed for Myself; They shall declare My praise.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43:21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. We must also understand that everything given to us by God is for His exhortation. Your body is not yours and therefore, we have been chosen, separated and appointed to ensure that every part of our life glorifies God. 1. Many Christians joke with their service to God, no wonder they fall sick.
2. When you serve God wholeheartedly, He will ensure that no sickness stays in your body.
3. Our Body is His temple, and anything that can destroy His temple is not approved by Him.
4. Yes it is true that bodily exercise profits a little, however, that little must not be done away with.

Serving God wholeheartedly is key to divine health, let’s consider 3John1:2 “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” III John‬ ‭1:2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. This verse carries much than we usually interpret it. Prosperity is not just about being wealthy or having huge amount of money in the bank or savings. The prayer in that verse simply says, we must have all round prosperity, freedom from worries of life such as sickness, disease, pains , bondage and all manners of calamity. Absence of peace in ones life is tantamount to being poor. Believers, must therefore understand that everything has been settled on our behalf on the cross. Like Pastor E.A Adeboye rightly said , we must also take good care of our body and avoid eating junks but instead eating wisely and engaging ourselves to bodily exercise will help keep the temple of God healthy. We can rely on several sources for supply of our needs here on earth, but the greatest of all suppliers is the almighty God. Other sources are liable to fail or disappoint us, but God who is too faithful to fail His children will always provide our need even beyond our expectations. No wonder Apostle Paul said to the church “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians‬ ‭4:19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. Having said that, there are principles guiding overflowing blessings from God which must not be ignored by His children. One of the principles is obedience, God is unhappy to see His children wallowing in poverty, that’s why Job 11:36 says ” “If they obey and serve Him, They shall spend their days in prosperity, And their years in pleasures.” Job‬ ‭36:11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. God’s plan for us is that we overflow in wealth, we are to control the world economy, but if we don’t read and follow His instructions, that may be impossible.

1. Discipline in the family happens when parents lovingly correct and train their children in accordance with the Word of God, so that they may grow up in the way of the Lord.
2. The type of relationship that exists between parents and their children determines whether the children will be disciplined or not. When a servant misbehaves, you may ignore his offence but when a son or daughter commits the same offence, they should not get away with it. It is the goal of every reasonable parent to ensure that their children are better versions of themselves.
3. You do not need to teach a child to be angry before he or she manifests it, even at infancy. It is innate.
4. Don’t over pamper your children. Don’t spoil them by using love as an excuse. Many ladies do not know how to cook or handle domestic chores because their parents left everything to the house-help.
5. You are undoing your children if you deny them good home training and discipline. You owe it to your children to discipline them. If you fail to give it to them, the result of their indiscipline will haunt you here on earth and you will have a case to answer in heaven.

SHORT REFLECTION BY THE LIGHT POINTERS

Parents are to love their children irrespective of the attitudes shown by them. Like our father in the lord rightly mentioned, the goal of every parent should be to ensure that their children are well trained and become greater than them. In other words, the achievements of our children should exceed whatever we have accomplished in life. However, training them up in a Godly way requires a lot of patience and love with prayers. We pray that everything we need to lead our children in a way they should go be released unto us in Jesus’ name. Let parents start following one of the standards laid in the word of God according to Ephesians 6:4 “And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.” Ephesians‬ ‭6:4‬ ‭NKJV‬. Most times bullying or nagging might not change them to become what you desire of them. However, sparing them of discipline is dangerous, discipline your child when needed. 1. The first attribute that becomes noticeable in a genuinely born-again child of God is the love for God and humanity.
2. God loves to fellowship with man and this has been so from the very beginning. God created man to fellowship with Him; this is the major reason why He created us in His image. He enjoyed coming to meet and fellowship with Adam in the cool of the day.
3. Enoch walked with God for at least 300 years! The fellowship was so intense that death could not touch him. God had to call him to glory to continue the fellowship there
4. Indeed, love is an antidote for death, if you truly love God and obey His commandments, death will be far away from you.
5. God wants to be intimate with you. Open yourself and your whole household to God, and create time for regular fellowship with Him today.

Love is one of the most important characters that must be evident in any one who has been saved through Christ Jesus. Probably, that is why it’s the first in the list of the fruit of the spirit according to Galatians 5:22, out of the nine fruit of the spirit, love carries huge importance and without it, all other gifts or fruits are useless. Just as Apostle Paul stated ” If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing”.1Corthians 13:1-3 ESV and the last verse of that chapter says ” So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
