HYMN 8: I’M PRESSING ON THE UPWARD WAY

1. I’m pressing on the upward way,
New heights I’m gaining ev’ry day;
Still praying as I’m onward bound,
“Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.”

Refrain:
Lord, lift me up, and let me stand
By faith, on heaven’s tableland;
A higher plane than I have found,
Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.

2 My heart has no desire to stay
Where doubts arise and fears dismay;
Though some may dwell where these abound,
My prayer, my aim, is higher ground.

3 I want to live above the world,
Though Satan’s darts at me are hurled;
For faith has caught a joyful sound,
The song of saints on higher ground.

OPEN HEAVEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL WEDNESDAY 30TH MARCH 2022. HOW TO RETAIN YOUR DOMINION.

MEMORY VERSE:
And all nations will hate you because you are my followers. But everyone who endures to the end will be saved. Matthew 10:22

READ: Philippians 3:10 -15

10 I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death,

11 so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead!

12 I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me.

13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,

14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

15 Let all who are spiritually mature agree on these things. If you disagree on some point, I believe God will make it plain to you.

MESSAGE
One truth that we must embrace as we round off our discussion on dominion is that it can be lost if one is careless, arrogant, disobedient or lawless. A classic example of someone who had dominion but lost it was the first king of Israel – Saul, according to 1Samuel 15:1-30. He was not only disobedient, but also unrepentant. He chose to enjoy popularity among the people but this eventually made him lose the desired popularity when God’s grace departed from him. To his face the women of Israel sang that “Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands” (1 Samuel 18:7). Dominion attracts fame and popularity; however, if care is not taken,these can make one lose his or her dominion and eventually be left with nothing, thus becoming a shadow of his or her past.

Dominion brings about comfort but comfort when mismanaged can cause one to lose his or her dominion, as in case of David. The Bible says that at a time when kings were supposed to have gone to war, David stayed back to enjoy the pleasure of his palace. This was when he saw what he was not supposed to see, fell into a series of sins that brought a curse upon him to temporarily lose his dominion to his son Absalom. Thank God that he had a repentant heart and God mercifully restored his dominion to him (2 Samuel 11, 15 – 18). The Bible says: “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth them shall have mercy” (Proverbs 28:13). This might have made David write Psalm 51 which reads

Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
Psalm 51:1

2 Samuel 12:1-13 tells us of the tender mercies of God when David repented.

Beloved, let us be careful not to lose our dominion. To those who have lost their dominion, the good news is that God is ready to forgive if you would repent and trace your steps back to Him today.

There are people who never lost their dominion. Elisha was one of them (2 Kings 13:14-21). You will never lose your dominion, in the mighty name of Jesus.

PRAYER POINT:
Father, please help me to be obedient to You at all times so that I will never lose the dominion You have given me, in the mighty name of Jesus.

HYMN 19: O WORSHIP THE KING ALL GLORIOUS ABOVE
1 O worship the King all-glorious above,
O gratefully sing his power and his love:
our shield and defender, the Ancient of Days,
pavilioned in splendor and girded with praise.

2 O tell of his might and sing of his grace,
whose robe is the light, whose canopy space.
His chariots of wrath the deep thunderclouds form,
and dark is his path on the wings of the storm.

3 Your bountiful care, what tongue can recite?
It breathes in the air, it shines in the light;
it streams from the hills, it descends to the plain,
and sweetly distills in the dew and the rain.

4 Frail children of dust, and feeble as frail,
in you do we trust, nor find you to fail.
Your mercies, how tender, how firm to the end,
our Maker, Defender, Redeemer, and Friend!

OPEN HEAVEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL MONDAY 28TH MARCH 2022 PROOF OF DOMINION I

MEMORISE:
You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name. John 15:16

READ: John 15:1- 8
“I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener.

2 He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.

3 You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you.

4 Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.

5 “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.

6 Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned.

7 But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!

8 When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.

MESSAGE:
How can we know that someone has dominion? To prove that you have dominion, you must have something to show for it. Kings are known in their domain by their possessions. In other words, productivity and fruitfulness are proof of dominion.

The story was told of two friends who asked a seer to foretell their future and one was told he would be king while the other was told he would die a pauper. The one who was told that he would become king went home rejoicing and stopped working from that day. Meanwhile, the other man who was told that he would die a pauper went into the jungle and began to cultivate a farm. Some years later, there was a terrible famine in the land and as people were scouting around for food, they stumbled upon the huge farmland of this determined young man. They begged him to give them large supplies of food so that the townspeople would not die of hunger. This man agreed to give them food that would last the period of famine, on one condition. The condition was that they would make him their king. The people agreed and he was made king. The proof of his dominion as the king was in his ability to feed the people, even in the midst of the famine.

In our memory verse today, our Lord Jesus Christ said that the proof of dominion is fruitfulness. He stated clearly that when we bear fruit and our fruit abide, God will give unto us whatsoever we ask for in His name (John 15:16). That is dominion.

This is a pointer to the fact that only an achiever could say he or she has dominion. You can only achieve if you have God as your Ally because the Bible says that unless the Lord builds the house, the builders build in vain (Psalm 127:1).

To truly have dominion, connect with the Almighty God today.

PRAYER POINT:
Father, please cause me to be fruitful from now on and establish my dominion before the whole world, in the mighty name of Jesus.

OPEN HEAVEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL SUNDAY 27TH MARCH 2022 THE ROLE OF THE GEM CALLED MOTHER

MEMORISE: The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother. Proverbs 10:1

READ: 1 Kings 3:16 -21
16 Then came there two women, that were harlots, unto the king, and stood before him.

17 And the one woman said, O my lord, I and this woman dwell in one house; and I was delivered of a child with her in the house.

18 And it came to pass the third day after that I was delivered, that this woman was delivered also: and we were together; there was no stranger with us in the house, save we two in the house.

19 And this woman’s child died in the night; because she overlaid it.

20 And she arose at midnight, and took my son from beside me, while thine handmaid slept, and laid it in her bosom, and laid her dead child in my bosom.

21 And when I rose in the morning to give my child suck, behold, it was dead: but when I had considered it in the morning, behold, it was not my son, which I did bear.

MESSAGE:
Today is Mother’s Day and I pray that for every mother, your labour of love over your children will not go unrewarded in Jesus name. Mothers are very special people because of how passionate they are about their children. I have always said it: I am where I am today because of the grace of God and the prayers of my mother. The prayers she constantly used to say then was that many others would respond when I called on one person. In other words, her prayer was that I would be so influential that everyone would want to answer when I call.

A mother that does her duties right will set her children on the part towards fulfilling God’s plan for their lives. In Matthew 20:20-21, the mother of James and John came to plead with Jesus that her children should be seated beside Him in heaven; it’s no wonder these two were among the three closest to Jesus when He was on earth.

Mothers are pivotal to the fulfillment of destinies of their children. It is however unfortunate that many mothers are so carried away by the things of this world that they forget their role in interceding for thief children.

In our Bible reading today, one mother was sleeping so deeply that she killed her own baby.The other was also sleeping so deeply that her child was exchanged right under her nose without her knowledge. Thank God she awoke to fight back for her child. This tells us that if a mother is sleeping spiritually, she could kill her own children. If she is not prayerful and does not invest her time in raising them diligently, their destinies could be truncated right under her watch. When a mother would rather sleep than pray at night for her children, she is indirectly killing their destinies.

I pray that a generation of mothers would arise- a generation that would not take with levity the destinies of their children, a generation that would commit to ensuring that their children live to fulfill God’s plan for their lives.

Mothers, awake and prayerfully fight for the actualization of your children’s destinies.

KEY POINT
Mothers are pivotal to the success or otherwise of their children

HYMN 15: NOW THANK WE ALL OUR GOD
Now thank we all our God
with heart and hands and voices,

through all our life be near us,
with ever joyful hearts
and blessed peace to cheer us,
to keep us in his grace,

and free us from all ills
of this world in the next.

3 All praise and thanks to God

the one eternal God,
whom heaven and earth adore;
for thus it was, is now,

OPEN HEAVEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL FRIDAY MARCH 25 DOMINION II

MEMORISE: And Lot also, which went with Abram, had flocks, and herds, and tents. Genesis 13:5

READ: Genesis 14:14 -16

14 And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto Dan.

15 And he divided himself against them, he and his servants, by night, and smote them, and pursued them unto Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus.

16 And he brought back all the goods, and also brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people.

MESSAGE
Yesterday we started discussing the subject of dominion and we discovered that it was bestowed upon man at creation but he traded it for the forbidden fruit. Jesus however, came to redeem man and restore dominion unto all those who believe in Him. We will continue with our study today by considering dominion by association – that is, a person can have dominion if the fellow is associated with a powerful personality. An adage in my mother tongue says that a dog can kill a monkey if the dog has the backing of the hunter. In our memory verse today we see Lot having dominion over poverty because of his association with the friend of God – Abraham. However, he lost the dominion when he departed from Abraham in Genesis 13.

After a while, when Lot cut off his association with Abraham,the Bible says that the city in which Lot was living was invaded and because Lot has separated himself from the friend of God, he became a victim of the invasion. Had it not been for the mercy of God and the love of his uncle, he wouldn’t have regained his freedom as we read in today’s text. The Bible says:

And he (Abraham) brought back all the goods, and also brought again his brother Lot,and his goods, and the women also, and the people. Genesis 14:16.

Who we associate with goes a long way in determining our experiences in life. Proverbs 13:20 says:

He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

Beloved, may l recommend Someone you can associate yourself with for everlasting dominion? His name is Jesus. The Bible says that His dominion is everlasting. (Psalm 145:13).

Why live your life in one form of captivity or the other, when you can operate in dominion over every situation, circumstance, and mountain?

Come to Jesus today and have everlasting dominion.

Prayer Point
Father, give me everlasting dominion over sin, Satan and the works of the flesh, in the mighty name of Jesus.

HYMN 26: WE ARE NEVER NEVER WEARY OF THE GRAND OLD SONG

1. We are never, never weary of the grand old song;
Glory to God, hallelujah!
We can sing it loud as ever, with our faith more strong;
Glory to God, hallelujah!

Refrain
O, the children of the Lord have a right to shout and sing,
For the way is growing bright, and our souls are on the wing;
We are going by and by to the palace of a King!
Glory to God, hallelujah!

2. We are lost amid the rapture of redeeming love
Glory to God, hallelujah!
We are rising on its pinions to the hills above:
Glory to God, hallelujah! [Refrain]

3. We are going to a palace that is built of gold;
Glory to God, hallelujah!
Where the King in all His splendor we shall soon behold
Glory to God, hallelujah! [Refrain]

4. There we’ll shout redeeming mercy in a glad, new song;
Glory to God, hallelujah!
There we’ll sing the praise of Jesus with the blood washed throng;
Glory to God, hallelujah! [Refrain]

OPEN HEAVEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL THURSDAY 24TH MARCH 2022 DOMINION 1

THEME: DOMINION 1

MEMORISE: Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: Psalms 8:6

READ: Genesis 1:26 -28
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

MESSAGE
To the human race, dominion should be a natural phenomenon because it was bestowed upon us at creation. Our memory verse for today attests to this truth. In other words, one can gain dominion by creation. For example, a buffalo is conceived the same way a lion is conceived. However, dominion is bestowed upon the lion over the buffalo. When David considered the privileged position God placed man in, he could not help asking, “What is man, that thou are mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him?” (Psalm 8:4). The question here is, “What should man do to appreciate the One who bestowed this dominion upon him? The answer is not far-fetched; the Bible says:

Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, o my soul, and forget not all his benefits. Psalm 103:1-2.

Beloved, you should not struggle to have dominion because it has been given to us at creation. Another question then is, “Is this a reality in the life of everyone? The answer is simply “No” and this is because man sold his dominion for a taste of the forbidden fruit (Genesis 3:1-7). This now leads us to the necessity of redemption. It is redemption that can restore this dominion.

I remember how I was running helter-skelter, away from wicked people who wanted to use me as their breakfast. I kept on running and suffering until I met Jesus Christ and accepted Him as my personal Lord and Saviour. When a man is redeemed from sin, he is redeemed completely form all other calamities that had dominated him hitherto. He is born again and re-created.

This is why Jesus Christ said we must be born again (John 3:3). The Bible also says that whoever is born of God (John 1:12 overcomes the world through faith in the Son of the Living God (1 John 5:4-). Beloved, you have dominion by virtue of your being a new creature in Jesus Christ.

KEY POINT
To access dominion, you must surrender your life to Jesus Christ.

HYMN25: to TO GOD BE THE GLORY

1 To God be the glory, great things He hath done,
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son,
Who yielded His life our redemption to win,
And opened the life-gate that all may go in.

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the earth hear His voice;
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the people rejoice;
Oh, come to the Father, through Jesus the Son,
And give Him the glory; great things He hath done.

2 Oh, perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
To every believer the promise of God;
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.

3 Great things He hath taught us, great things He hath done,
And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;
But purer, and higher, and greater will be
Our wonder, our transport when Jesus we see.

OPEN HEAVEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL WEDNESDAY 23RD MARCH 2022 HEALING OR WHOLENESS

MEMORISE: And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? Luke 17:17

READ: Luke 17:12 -19

12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:

13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.

14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.

15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,

16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.

17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?

18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.

19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

MESSAGE
Healing is good but wholeness is awesome. When you experience healing, you must not stop at that – you must proceed to the level of wholeness in good health. There is a secret way to wholeness and that is the way of thanksgiving, praise and worship. Unfortunately, some people don’t know this way. They are incurable request-makers. All they do is issue command in the place of prayer. They issue commands without expressing any form of gratitude to the Almighty Owner of the heavens and the earth!

In our Bible text today, we read about how ten lepers confronted our Lord Jesus Christ with a request for healing. Jesus obliged them and asked them to go and show themselves to the priests. On the way, they all became healed. It however, remained one more step for them to get to the level of wholeness.

A typical example of wholeness is what Naaman experienced in 2 Kings 5:14. Naaman experienced wholeness – not mere healing, as there was no trace of leprosy on him after his encounter with the God of Israel.

Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean. 2 Kings 5:14

When the tenth leper saw that he was healed, he returned to Jesus to thank, praise and worship Him. Beloved, look around you and see the things God has already done for you, not just those you are seeking for Him to do.

Jesus was so impressed with this thankful man that He decreed his wholeness. The Bible says, “And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine?…And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole” (Luke 17:17, 19).

Give glory to God, praise Him, avoid evil, so that you would not only be healed but made whole, too. Beloved, cultivate the habit of praise, worship and adoration of the Most High God. Live holy, and you will continue to enjoy divine wholeness.

ACTION POINT
Spend ten minutes giving thanks unto God for all He has done for you.

OPEN HEAVEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL TUESDAY 22ND MARCH 2022 WHY YOU NEED DIVINE ANOINTING 2

Memory Verse: James 5:14

Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the Church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of Lord. James 5:14
Bible Reading: 1 John 2:27

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

MESSAGE

Yokes represent bondage and they are of different kinds. The yoke of sickness is a terrible one for anyone to bear and it must be completely destroyed. This is why you need divine anointing to destroy the yoke of sickness. This was a yoke that kept a man bound for thirty-eight years at the pool of Bethesda (John 5:2-9). The yoke of sickness wasted thirty-eight years of his life but he got his deliverance from that bondage when he encountered the anointing upon Jesus Christ. No child of God should be bound by the yoke of sickness since His anointing is available for us as we see in our memory verse today.

A Church that is void of God’s anointing is not worth attending because the Church is the last hope of the sick, especially for ailments described by orthodox medical practitioners as incurable or terminal. Testimonies of divine healings in our Church programmes confirm the importance of God’s anointing, particularly when it comes to the destruction of yokes of sickness.

One case that readily comes to mind is that of a sister who a doctor had said would die within hours. Her husband left her in the hospital, only to invite his mistress to come and spend the night with him in their home. “What about your wife?” the mistress asked. “She has only a few hours to live before she dies in the hospital” the unfaithful husband said, thinking the wife had reached the end of her life. To the glory of God, that same night, the anointing destroyed the yoke of sickness in the sister’s life; she discharged herself and went straight home, only to meet her husband with the mistress.

Handkerchiefs that carry divine anointing have destroyed yokes of sickness, times without number.

The anointing also serves as a defensive weapon against the onslaught of the enemy. Psalm 105:15 says, “…Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm”. Beloved, as you seek the anointing of the Almighty God, every problematic situation you are faced with will be resolved to His glory, in the mighty name of Jesus.

ACTION POINT

You need the anointing to overcome spiritual obstacles. Seek it from a genuine man of God

HYMN 4: GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS

GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS

1 Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father,
there is no shadow of turning with thee.
Thou changest not, thy compassions, they fail not;
as thou hast been, thou forever wilt be.

Refrain:
Great is thy faithfulness!
Great is thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
all I have needed thy hand hath provided.
Great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

2 Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,
sun, moon, and stars in their courses above
join with all nature in manifold witness
to thy great faithfulness, mercy, and love.

thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide,
strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing. Isaiah 10:27

12 And thou shalt bring Aaron and his sons unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and wash them with water.

13 And thou shalt put upon Aaron the holy garments, and anoint him, and sanctify him; that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office.

14 And thou shalt bring his sons, and clothe them with coats:

15 And thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father, that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office: for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.

MESSAGE
Many people do not know how important the anointing is and so they despise it. I have seen situations in which some brethren refused to be ordained because they ignorantly thought that refusing the anointing that comes with ordination is a sign of humility. They could not be further from the truth.

Exodus 30:25 says, ”And thou shall make it an oil of holy ointment, an ointment compound after the art of the apothecary: it shall be an holy anointing oil”.

From the Scripture above, we can safely deduce that there are different kinds of anointing. Today, we will be discussing divine anointing which is holy and can only be gotten from God. This is the kind of anointing everyone should thirst and yearn for.

One of the reasons for divine anointing is service, according to Exodus 28:41. God commanded Moses to anoint Aaron and His children “that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office” (Exodus 28 41). Divine anointing seals promotion, as found in 1 Samuel 10:1. This is the case of Saul after he was divinely chosen to be the first king of Israel.

Promotion, particularly in spiritual assignments, takes greater responsibility which requires divine backing. In the RCCG, we ordain people in stages as they assume greater spiritual responsibility.

As we see in our memory verse today, divine anointing breaks yokes!

Divine anointing makes the impossible possible. Classic examples of divine anointing are when Samson tore a lion into two with his bare hands (Judges 14:5-6), and in 1 Samuel 17:33-36 that relates the exploits of David under divine anointing. He killed a lion and a bear after he had been anointed by Samuel. There is nothing a man under God’s anointing cannot do.

I therefore urge you to seek the anointing of the Holy Spirit today.

ACTION POINT
Purge yourself of anything that could hinder the flow of divine anointing into your life today.

HYMN 1: ALL TO JESUS I SURRENDER
1. All to Jesus I surrender,
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.

I surrender all,
I surrender all.
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

2. All to Jesus I surrender,
Humbly at His feet I bow,
Worldly pleasures all forsaken;
Take me, Jesus, take me now.

3. All to Jesus I surrender,
Make me, Savior, wholly Thine;
Let me feel Thy Holy Spirit,
Truly know that Thou art mine.

4. All to Jesus I surrender,
Lord, I give myself to Thee;
Fill me with Thy love and power,
Let Thy blessing fall on me.

5. All to Jesus I surrender,
Now I feel the sacred flame.
Oh, the joy of full salvation!
Glory, glory to His name!

OPEN HEAVEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL D SUNDAY 20TH MARCH 2022 THE VERY LAST DAY II.

MEMORISE:
The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. Zephaniah 1:14

READ: Zephaniah 1:14-18 14 The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.

15 That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,

16 A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers.

17 And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the LORD: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung.

18 Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD’S wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land.

MESSAGE
Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD commeth, for it is nigh at hand: Joel 2:1

The very last day of this present age is the day of rapture. That day will be a day of rejoicing for some and a day of sorrow for many. Those who are living holy now will rejoice because they will be caught up with Jesus Christ in the skies and will go to heaven (1 Thessalonians 4:17). The rest however will cry because they would have missed the rapture. In which group will you be?

From our memory verse today, we see that on that day even mighty men will cry bitterly, Money and connections will not get anyone to heaven; in fact, the Bible says that the love of money will derail many from the faith (1Timothy 6:10). All your wealth will not help you that day; it is only Jesus Christ that can save you.

For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, And know not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Matthew 24:38-39

Jesus said that day will be like in the days of Noah, Everything seemed okay and people were marring before that day just like they are doing now, but when the trumpet sounds, only those in the family of God will gain entrance into the ark. The One who will open the ark of salvation to us is Jesus Christ. He cannot be bribed or deceived, so those who are pretending to be living holy now will not enter the ark. After we who are in the family of God have been saved, then the flood of tribulations will start and the Bible says woe unto the inhabitants of the earth at that time (Revelation 12:12).

Nobody knows when Jesus will return for His saints. If you have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, I plead with you to do so now, before it is too late.

ACTION POINT
If you want to be saved, surrender your life to Jesus now and begin to live holy henceforth.
