1. Bethel is the house of God, a place where God dwelled with His people. Over time, the Bible redefined the true place of worship to be the heart of man
2. Bethel could be said to represent the house of God, the true place of worship, or the dwelling place of God. The Samaritan woman by the well asked a million-dollar question from Jesus about the location of the heavenly approved place of worship.
3. The freedom and liberty granted to Christians at conversion does not translate to ownership and absolute authority over ourselves as some erroneously think.
4. Realizing that your body is the temple of God will also affect the type of company that you keep and where you go.

REFLECTION BY THE LIGHT POINTERS
The question we should always ask ourselves is whether we are in the presence of God. If we consider today’s bible passage, Jacob realized the need to have a separate place, sanctified and holy to worship God as he was instructed by God. However, in the dispensation of the Holyspirit, true worship comes come from within. Truly, God is seeking for genuine worshippers. As a matter of fact, we have been created to praise Him. According to Isaiah 43:21 “This people I have formed for Myself; They shall declare My praise.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43:21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. We must also understand that everything given to us by God is for His exhortation. Your body is not yours and therefore, we have been chosen, separated and appointed to ensure that every part of our life glorifies God. Absence of peace in ones life is tantamount to being poor. Believers, must therefore understand that everything has been settled on our behalf on the cross. Having said that, there are principles guiding overflowing blessings from God which must not be ignored by His children. 1. Discipline in the family happens when parents lovingly correct and train their children in accordance with the Word of God, so that they may grow up in the way of the Lord.
2. The type of relationship that exists between parents and their children determines whether the children will be disciplined or not. When a servant misbehaves, you may ignore his offence but when a son or daughter commits the same offence, they should not get away with it. It is the goal of every reasonable parent to ensure that their children are better versions of themselves.
3. You do not need to teach a child to be angry before he or she manifests it, even at infancy. It is innate.
4. Don’t over pamper your children. Don’t spoil them by using love as an excuse. Many ladies do not know how to cook or handle domestic chores because their parents left everything to the house-help.
5. You are undoing your children if you deny them good home training and discipline. You owe it to your children to discipline them. If you fail to give it to them, the result of their indiscipline will haunt you here on earth and you will have a case to answer in heaven.

Parents are to love their children irrespective of the attitudes shown by them. Like our father in the lord rightly mentioned, the goal of every parent should be to ensure that their children are well trained and become greater than them. In other words, the achievements of our children should exceed whatever we have accomplished in life. However, training them up in a Godly way requires a lot of patience and love with prayers. We pray that everything we need to lead our children in a way they should go be released unto us in Jesus’ name. Let parents start following one of the standards laid in the word of God according to Ephesians 6:4 “And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.” Ephesians‬ ‭6:4‬ ‭NKJV‬. Most times bullying or nagging might not change them to become what you desire of them. However, sparing them of discipline is dangerous, discipline your child when needed. 1. God ordained seedtime and harvest not just to mark time, but as a life principle. He also gave varying degrees of talents to every human being as a form of heavenly investment.

3. if you plant maize, you can harvest it within three months, but if you plant yam, you will have to wait a little longer.
4. If you have sown quality seeds, give it time to mature, if you are impatient with your seed, you cannot obtain its full potentials.
