OPEN HEAVENS DEVOTIONAL: SUNDAY, DECEMBER 11TH 2016- REJECTED OF THE LORD?

Memorise: Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy Holy Spirit from me. Psalms 51:11
Read: Proverbs 1:24-29 (KJV)
24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;
25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:
26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;
27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.
28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:
29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord:
Bible in one year: Exodus 33:7-35:29, Psalms 119:65-80

AS REVEALED BY PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE IN TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL

1. Rejection is a terrible form of punishment that God sometimes uses to call the attention of His backslidden children to quit their sins and immoralities.
2. Experiences and feelings of rejection are to be dealt with through the prayer of forgiveness and perseverance.
3. Do not wait till the day of the storm to discover your status with God, check yourself today and do everything possible to reconcile with God if need be.
4. If God does not correct you for wrong speech, reaction and conduct, it simply means He is not your Father! When last did God cane you for wrong doing? May you never be above correction.
5. Do you feel as if the gates of Heavens are shut against you? Do you feel as if you are shut out of God’s blessings? It could mean that you are a ‘dog’. Why not accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour today? Why not reconcile with your Maker?

SHORT REFLECTION BY THE LIGHT POINTERS

To be rejected by men is tolerable but when your case get to that level where God decides to abandon you, it’s the most dangerous thing that could happen to a fellow. Just like the bibles says concerning Isrealite “But My people would not heed My voice,And Israel would have none of Me.So I gave them over to their own stubborn heart,
To walk in their own counsels. Let’s hold on to our relationship with the almighty God.Blessed be God for our father in the Lord Pastor E. A Adeboye for the great insight in today’s devotional. May he continually increase in strength and grace in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Point
Father, please, cast me not away from Your Presence in the Name of Jesus.
1 Deeper, deeper in the love of Jesus
Daily let me go;
Higher, higher in the school of wisdom,
More of grace to know.
Refrain:
O deeper yet, I pray,
And higher ev’ry day,
And wiser, blessed Lord,
In Thy precious, holy Word.
2 Deeper, deeper! blessed Holy Spirit,
Take me deeper still,
Till my life is wholly lost in Jesus,
And His perfect will. [Refrain]
3 Deeper, deeper! tho’ it cost hard trials,
Deeper let me go!
Rooted in the holy love of Jesus,
Let me fruitful grow. [Refrain]
4 Deeper, higher, ev’ry day in Jesus,
Till all conflict past,
Finds me conqu’ror, and in His own image
Perfected at last. [Refrain]
5 Deeper, deeper in the faith of Jesus,
Holy faith and true;
In His pow’r and soul exulting wisdom
Let me peace pursue. [Refrain]

OPEN HEAVENS DEVOTIONAL SATURDAY , DECEMBER 10th 2016- BETHEL: HEAVEN’S GATE

Memorise: And Jacob called the name of the place where God spake with him, Beth-el. Genesis 35:15
Read: Genesis 35:1-7 (KJV)
1 And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God, that appeared unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother
2 Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments:
3 And let us arise, and go up to Bethel; and I will make there an altar unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I went.
4 And they gave unto Jacob all the strange gods which were in their hand, and all their earrings which were in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the oak which was by Shechem.
5 And they journeyed: and the terror of God was upon the cities that were round about them, and they did not pursue after the sons of Jacob.
6 So Jacob came to Luz, which is in the land of Canaan, that is, Bethel, he and all the people that were with him.
7 And he built there an altar, and called the place Elbethel: because there God appeared unto him, when he fled from the face of his brother.
Bible in one year: Exodus 30:22-33:6, Psalms 119:49-64
AS REVEALED BY PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE IN TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL

1. Bethel is the house of God, a place where God dwelled with His people. Over time, the Bible redefined the true place of worship to be the heart of man
2. Bethel could be said to represent the house of God, the true place of worship, or the dwelling place of God. The Samaritan woman by the well asked a million-dollar question from Jesus about the location of the heavenly approved place of worship.
3. The freedom and liberty granted to Christians at conversion does not translate to ownership and absolute authority over ourselves as some erroneously think.
4. Realizing that your body is the temple of God will also affect the type of company that you keep and where you go.

SHORT

REFLECTION BY THE LIGHT POINTERS
The question we should always ask ourselves is whether we are in the presence of God. If we consider today’s bible passage, Jacob realized the need to have a separate place, sanctified and holy to worship God as he was instructed by God. However, in the dispensation of the Holyspirit, true worship comes come from within. Truly, God is seeking for genuine worshippers. As a matter of fact, we have been created to praise Him. According to Isaiah 43:21 “This people I have formed for Myself; They shall declare My praise.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43:21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. We must also understand that everything given to us by God is for His exhortation. Your body is not yours and therefore, we have been chosen, separated and appointed to ensure that every part of our life glorifies God. We must also desist from whatever will obstruct us from diligently serving and giving adoration to our Lord. Blessed be God for our father in the Lord Pastor E. A Adeboye for the great insight in today’s devotional. May he continually increase in strength and grace in Jesus’ name.

Prayer point
Father, please let Your fire wake me up to my responsibility in Christ.
HYMN
1 When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound, and time shall be no more,
and the morning breaks, eternal, bright and fair;
when the saved of earth shall gather over on the other shore,
and the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.
Refrain:
When the roll is called up yonder,
when the roll is called up yonder,
when the roll is called up yonder,
when the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.
2 On that bright and cloudless morning when the dead in Christ shall rise,
and the glory of His resurrection share;
ahen His chosen ones shall gather to their home beyond the skies,
and the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there. [Refrain]
3 Let us labor for the Master from the dawn till setting sun;
let us talk of all His wondrous love and care;
then when all of life is over, and our work on earth is done,
and the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there. [Refrain]

OPEN HEAVENS DEVOTIONAL: FRIDAY , DECEMBER 9TH 2016- IT IS TIME TO OVERFLOW II –

Memorise: Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3rd John 1:12
Read: Exodus 23:25 (KJV)
25 And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.
Bible in one year: Exodus 29:1-30:21, Psalms 119:33-48

AS REVEALED BY PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE IN TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL

1. Many Christians joke with their service to God, no wonder they fall sick.
2. When you serve God wholeheartedly, He will ensure that no sickness stays in your body.
3. Our Body is His temple, and anything that can destroy His temple is not approved by Him.
4. Yes it is true that bodily exercise profits a little, however, that little must not be done away with.

SHORT REFLECTION BY THE LIGHT POINTERS

Serving God wholeheartedly is key to divine health, let’s consider 3John1:2 “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” III John‬ ‭1:2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. This verse carries much than we usually interpret it. Prosperity is not just about being wealthy or having huge amount of money in the bank or savings. The prayer in that verse simply says, we must have all round prosperity, freedom from worries of life such as sickness, disease, pains , bondage and all manners of calamity. Absence of peace in ones life is tantamount to being poor. Believers, must therefore understand that everything has been settled on our behalf on the cross. Like Pastor E.A Adeboye rightly said , we must also take good care of our body and avoid eating junks but instead eating wisely and engaging ourselves to bodily exercise will help keep the temple of God healthy. Blessed be God for our father in the Lord Pastor E. A Adeboye for the great insight in today’s devotional. May he continually increase in strength and grace in Jesus’ name.

Key Point
Pay attention to your health, God prefers you healthy than sick.
HYMN 11
1 Standing on the promises of Christ my king,
through eternal ages let his praises ring;
glory in the highest, I will shout and sing,
standing on the promises of God.
Refrain:
Standing, standing,
standing on the promises of God my Savior;
standing, standing,
I’m standing on the promises of God.
2 Standing on the promises that cannot fail,
when the howling storms of doubt and fear assail,
by the living Word of God I shall prevail,
standing on the promises of God. [Refrain]
3 Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord,
bound to him eternally by love’s strong cord,
overcoming daily with the Spirit’s sword,
standing on the promises of God. [Refrain]
4 Standing on the promises I cannot fall,
listening every moment to the Spirit’s call,
resting in my Savior as my all in all,
standing on the promises of God. [Refrain]

OPEN HEAVENS DEVOTIONAL: THURSDAY , DECEMBER 8TH 2016- IT IS TIME TO OVERFLOW I

Memorise: Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3rd John 1:2
Read: 2nd Samuel 6:10-12 (KJV)
10 He was not willing to take the ark of the Lord to be with him in the City of David. Instead, he took it to the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite. 11 The ark of the Lord remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite for three months, and the Lord blessed him and his entire household.
12 Now King David was told, “The Lord has blessed the household of Obed-Edom and everything he has, because of the ark of God.” So David went to bring up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom to the City of David with rejoicing.
Bible in one year: Exodus 27-28, Psalms 119:17-32

AS REVEALED BY PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE IN TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL

1. God is not a poor God, He is wealthier than we can ever imagine. He owns all the natural resources on earth, all the gases in the air and all the elements in the universe, just to mention a few.
2. We see many Christians these days wallowing in poverty for years, in fact, many unbelievers don’t want to become born again because they are afraid of poverty

SHORT REFLECTION BY THE LIGHT POINTERS,

We can rely on several sources for supply of our needs here on earth, but the greatest of all suppliers is the almighty God. Other sources are liable to fail or disappoint us, but God who is too faithful to fail His children will always provide our need even beyond our expectations. No wonder Apostle Paul said to the church “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians‬ ‭4:19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. Having said that, there are principles guiding overflowing blessings from God which must not be ignored by His children. One of the principles is obedience, God is unhappy to see His children wallowing in poverty, that’s why Job 11:36 says ” “If they obey and serve Him, They shall spend their days in prosperity, And their years in pleasures.” Job‬ ‭36:11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. Our prayer is that God will help us to obey every instruction giving concerning giving. “Blessed be God for our father in the Lord Pastor E. A Adeboye for the great insight in today’s devotional. May he continually increase in strength and grace in Jesus’ name.

Key Point
God’s plan for us is that we overflow in wealth, we are to control the world economy, but if we don’t read and follow His instructions, that may be impossible.
HYMN
1 Standing on the promises of Christ my king,
through eternal ages let his praises ring;
glory in the highest, I will shout and sing,
standing on the promises of God.
Refrain:
Standing, standing,
standing on the promises of God my Savior;
standing, standing,
I’m standing on the promises of God.
2 Standing on the promises that cannot fail,
when the howling storms of doubt and fear assail,
by the living Word of God I shall prevail,
standing on the promises of God. [Refrain]
3 Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord,

OPEN HEAVENS DEVOTIONAL: WEDNESDAY , DECEMBER 7TH 2016- PARENTS! LEAD THE WAY

Memorise: Train up a child in the way he should go: And when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6
Read: Psalms 127:3-5 (KJV)
3 Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
4 As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.
Bible in one year: Exodus 25-26, Psalms 119:1-16

AS REVEALED BY PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE IN TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL

1. Discipline in the family happens when parents lovingly correct and train their children in accordance with the Word of God, so that they may grow up in the way of the Lord.
2. The type of relationship that exists between parents and their children determines whether the children will be disciplined or not. When a servant misbehaves, you may ignore his offence but when a son or daughter commits the same offence, they should not get away with it. It is the goal of every reasonable parent to ensure that their children are better versions of themselves.
3. You do not need to teach a child to be angry before he or she manifests it, even at infancy. It is innate.
4. Don’t over pamper your children. Don’t spoil them by using love as an excuse. Many ladies do not know how to cook or handle domestic chores because their parents left everything to the house-help.
5. You are undoing your children if you deny them good home training and discipline. You owe it to your children to discipline them. If you fail to give it to them, the result of their indiscipline will haunt you here on earth and you will have a case to answer in heaven.

SHORT REFLECTION BY THE LIGHT POINTERS

Parents are to love their children irrespective of the attitudes shown by them. Like our father in the lord rightly mentioned, the goal of every parent should be to ensure that their children are well trained and become greater than them. In other words, the achievements of our children should exceed whatever we have accomplished in life. However, training them up in a Godly way requires a lot of patience and love with prayers. We pray that everything we need to lead our children in a way they should go be released unto us in Jesus’ name. Let parents start following one of the standards laid in the word of God according to Ephesians 6:4 “And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.” Ephesians‬ ‭6:4‬ ‭NKJV‬. Most times bullying or nagging might not change them to become what you desire of them. However, sparing them of discipline is dangerous, discipline your child when needed. Blessed be God for our father in the Lord Pastor E. A Adeboye for the great insight in today’s devotional. May he continually increase in strength and grace in Jesus’ name.

HYMN
1 God give us Christian homes!
Homes where the Bible is loved and taught,
Homes where the Master’s will is sought,
Homes crowned with beauty Your love has wrought;
God give us Christian homes;
God give us Christian homes!
2 God give us Christian homes!
Homes where the father is true and strong,
Homes that are free from the blight of wrong,
Homes that are joyous with love and song;
God give us Christian homes;
God give us Christian homes!
3 God give us Christian homes!
Homes where the mother, in caring quest,
Strives to show others Your way is best,
Homes where the Lord is an honored guest;
God give us Christian homes;
God give us Christian homes!
4 God give us Christian homes!
Homes where the children are led to know
Christ in His beauty who loves them so,
Homes where the altar fires burn and glow;
God give us Christian homes;
God give us Christian homes!

OPEN HEAVENS DEVOTIONAL: TUESDAY , DECEMBER 6TH 2016- LOVE: AN ANTIDOTE FOR DEATH

Memorise: We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. 1st John 3:14
Read: 1st John 3:9-11 (KJV)
9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
Bible in one year: Exodus 22:16-24:18, Psalms 118

AS REVEALED BY PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE IN TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL

1. The first attribute that becomes noticeable in a genuinely born-again child of God is the love for God and humanity.
2. God loves to fellowship with man and this has been so from the very beginning. God created man to fellowship with Him; this is the major reason why He created us in His image. He enjoyed coming to meet and fellowship with Adam in the cool of the day.
3. Enoch walked with God for at least 300 years! The fellowship was so intense that death could not touch him. God had to call him to glory to continue the fellowship there
4. Indeed, love is an antidote for death, if you truly love God and obey His commandments, death will be far away from you.
5. God wants to be intimate with you. Open yourself and your whole household to God, and create time for regular fellowship with Him today.

SHORT REFLECTION BY THE LIGHT POINTERS

Love is one of the most important characters that must be evident in any one who has been saved through Christ Jesus. Probably, that is why it’s the first in the list of the fruit of the spirit according to Galatians 5:22, out of the nine fruit of the spirit, love carries huge importance and without it, all other gifts or fruits are useless. Just as Apostle Paul stated ” If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing”.1Corthians 13:1-3 ESV and the last verse of that chapter says ” So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love. Brethren, the love of God is paramount to the survivor of our faith and hope in Christ. Blessed be God for our father in the Lord Pastor E. A Adeboye for the great insight in today’s devotional. May he continually increase in strength and grace in Jesus’ name.

OPEN HEAVENS DEVOTIONAL: MONDAY, DECEMBER 5TH 2016-DON’T BURY YOUR TALENT

Memorise: But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 2nd Corinthians 9:6
Read: Matthew 25:24-29 (KJV)
24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.
26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:
27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.

AS REVEALED BY PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE IN TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL

1. God ordained seedtime and harvest not just to mark time, but as a life principle. He also gave varying degrees of talents to every human being as a form of heavenly investment.
2. God expects us to use our God given talents and abilities profitably.
3. if you plant maize, you can harvest it within three months, but if you plant yam, you will have to wait a little longer.
4. If you have sown quality seeds, give it time to mature, if you are impatient with your seed, you cannot obtain its full potentials.
5. It is wrong to expect a harvest from where you have not sown. Have you sown towards your desired harvest?

SHORT REFLECTION BY THE LIGHT POINTERS

Galatian 9:6 says “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up”. Have you devoted yourselves to sowing all kind of seeds which seems not to have germinated or yield any tangible result. We like to encourage you not to be weary in doing good, your season of reaping is just around the corner. However, in case you have been sowing without following the principles of giving, you may have to repent and follow the principle; start sowing without grumbling or complaining and start experiencing the power of God. Blessed be God for our father in the Lord Pastor E. A Adeboye for the great insight in today’s devotional. May he continually increase in strength and grace in Jesus’ name.
Prayer Point:
Father, please help me sow towards my desired harvest.

HYMN
1. O Jesus, I have promised
to serve thee to the end;
be thou forever near me,
my Master and my friend.
I shall not fear the battle
if thou art by my side,
nor wander from the pathway
if thou wilt be my guide.
2. O let me feel thee near me!
The world is ever near;
I see the sights that dazzle,
the tempting sounds I hear;
my foes are ever near me,
around me and within;
but Jesus, draw thou nearer,
and shield my soul from sin.
3. O let me hear thee speaking
in accents clear and still,
above the storms of passion,
the murmurs of self-will.
O speak to reassure me,
to hasten or control;
O speak, and make me listen,
thou guardian of my soul.
4. O Jesus, thou hast promised
to all who follow thee
that where thou art in glory
there shall thy servant be.
And Jesus, I have promised
to serve thee to the end;
O give me grace to follow,
my Master and my Friend.

OPEN HEAVENS DEVOTIONAL SUNDAY , DECEMBER 4TH 2016- SATAN’S DELICACY?

Memorise: Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. Hebrews 12:16
Read: Daniel 1:6-8 (KJV)

6 Now among these were of the children of Judah, Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah:
7 Unto whom the prince of the eunuchs gave names: for he gave unto Daniel the name of Belteshazzar; and to Hananiah, of Shadrach; and to Mishael, of Meshach; and to Azariah, of
8 But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.
Bible in one year: Exodus 17-19, Psalms 116
AS REVEALED BY PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE IN TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL –
1. The devil uses a delicacy as a potent weapon to bring down his human targets, and it was proven an effective weapon over the years.
2. He successfully used it against Adam and Eve, Esau, etc. However, Godly people like Daniel know that delicacies have the potential to defile a child of God, especially when offered as bait from the devil. I pray that you will never fall for any attractive proposition of the devil in Jesus’ name.
3.  If you want to remain undefiled, you must watch against the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life (1st John 2:15-17)
4. Are you undefiled? How pure are you? No matter how pure or undefiled you may be; there is room to press forward for a greater, higher and closer walk with God.
5. To be undefiled, you must remain in God’s way, keeping His commandments. God’s Word and instructions must be the laws governing your life

SHORT REFLECTION BY THE LIGHT POINTERS
Glory to God for another insight into His word today. Like our father in the lord will always say that we can regard to the devil anything stupid, but warned us never to refer to him as a fool. Devil has never been a fool, as a matter of fact the only ministry he is committed to is that of deceit I.e using his wiles to destroy purposefully destiny. Let’s be sensitive to the wiles and flattery of the devil, he actually has nothing to offer other than wickedness, although he may present it to look pleasant to the eyes, but the end result is regret. That will not be our portion in Jesus’ name. Blessed be God for our father in the Lord Pastor E. A Adeboye for the great insight in today’s devotional. May he continually increase in strength and grace in Jesus’ name.
Prayer Point
Lord Jesus, I refuse to fall for the devil’s trick, please help me to maintain my purity.
HYMN
My faith has found a resting place,
Not in device nor creed;
I trust the Ever-living One,
His wounds for me shall plead.
Refrain:
I need no other argument,
I need no other plea,
It is enough that Jesus died,
And that He died for me.
2 Enough for me that Jesus saves,
This ends my fear and doubt;
A sinful soul I come to Him,
He’ll never cast me out. [Refrain]
3 My heart is leaning on the Word,
The written Word of God,
Salvation by my Savior’s name,
Salvation through His blood. [Refrain]
4 My great Physician heals the sick,
The lost He came to save;
For me His precious blood He shed,
For me His life He gave. [Refrain]

OPEN HEAVENS DEVOTIONAL: SATURDAY , DECEMBER 3RD 2016–DEALING WITH UNCLEAN SPIRITS

Memorise: He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. Mark 16:16
Read: Matthew 10:1 (KJV)
10:1 And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
Bible in one year: Exodus 15-16, Psalms 115

AS REVEALED BY PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE IN TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL
1. Demons are fallen angels that were driven out of heaven because of their rebellious acts. The Bible presents demons as the authentic source of every manner of immorality in this world.
2. Demons are the foot soldiers that the devil uses to steal, kill, devour and wreck all manner of evil against humanity.
3. Demons were subject to the authority of Jesus Christ during His earthly ministry and subsequently in the ministry of the Church. Demons and idols bow in the Presence of our God
4. Until you carry a higher level of His Presence in your life, you may not realize the activities of demons in your environment. Believe it or not, they are everywhere, performing their negative assignments.
5. If only you carry a higher level of His Presence, the demons around you will manifest from wherever they are hiding. Ask God for more of His Presence upon you.

SHORT REFLECTION BY THE LIGHT POINTERS
Demons are responsible for most of the evil that happen around us today. That is why it is good for believers to understand their identity in Christ Jesus and not allow devil or demon on assignment to tamper with anything that belong to us. There is a sign that follows you, which authorizes you to cast out demons as records in Mark 16:17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues;. Let’s wake up and be sensitive to the activities of demons in our environment and start destroying them with the powerful weapon given to us by Jesus. Blessed be God for our father in the Lord Pastor E. A Adeboye for the great insight in today’s devotional. May he continually increase in strength and grace in Jesus’ name.
Prayer Point
Father, please baptize me with Your power today in Jesus’ name.
HYMN 9
1 My faith has found a resting place,
Not in device nor creed;
I trust the Ever-living One,
His wounds for me shall plead.
Refrain:
I need no other argument,
I need no other plea,
It is enough that Jesus died,
And that He died for me.
2 Enough for me that Jesus saves,
This ends my fear and doubt;
A sinful soul I come to Him,
He’ll never cast me out. [Refrain]
3 My heart is leaning on the Word,
The written Word of God,
Salvation by my Savior’s name,
Salvation through His blood. [Refrain]
4 My great Physician heals the sick,
The lost He came to save;
For me His precious blood He shed,
For me His life He gave. [Refrain]

OPEN HEAVENS DEVOTIONAL: FRIDAY , DECEMBER 2ND 2016–FOR HIS OWN PLEASURE

Memorise: Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. Revelation 4:11
Read: 1st Peter 2:9-11 (KJV)
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;
10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
Bible in one year: Exodus 12:43-14:31, Psalms 114.

AS REVEALED BY PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE IN TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL

1. Bible records shows that God is not passive about His creation; He is dynamically involved in everything that happens in the universe. His interest and involvement can be seen in the history of Israel and in the ministry of Jesus Christ
2. For those believers who obtained their spouses from God, if asked to make that choice personally, they most likely would have chosen someone else and would have missed God’s divine direction.
3. Has the Lord chosen for you on any matter? Appreciate Him for His choice and go with that choice.
4. God is very much in the business of directing human affairs, and your choice in any matter can never produce a better result than His.
5. Whenever God chooses somebody for an assignment, it does not necessarily mean the fellow is the most qualified. In fact, usually, God chooses the least qualified so that flesh will not rob Him of His glory.
6. Because the Lord has chosen you to be an heir to His heritage, He will cause all things to work in your favour to the fulfillment of your destiny in Jesus’ name.

SHORT REFLECTION BY THE LIGHT POINTERS
The greatest and best thing any believer should earnestly desire in life is the grace to work in the purpose of God. God has enormous plan for us, however, the ability to identify the purpose of God for one’s life is important. When any individual works outside the purpose of God, it automatically leads to frustration and strive. Like the saying that if any man work outside the grace of God, everything becomes race and struggle for such individual. May the almighty God give us the grace to live according to His purpose. Blessed be God for our father in the Lord Pastor E. A Adeboye for the great insight in today’s devotional. May he continually increase in strength and grace in Jesus’ name.
Prayer Point
Father, please let Your mercy and favour locate me today in Jesus’ name.

HYMN
1. Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to thee.
Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty,
God in three persons, blessed Trinity!
2. Holy, holy, holy! All the saints adore thee,
casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea;
cherubim and seraphim falling down before thee,
which wert, and art, and evermore shalt be.
3. Holy, holy, holy! Though the darkness hide thee,
though the eye of sinful man thy glory may not see,
only thou art holy; there is none beside thee,
perfect in power, in love and purity.
4. Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
All thy works shall praise thy name, in earth and sky and sea.
Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty,
God in three persons, blessed Trinity
